At Atelier Swarovski, we recognise the limits and fragility of the world’s natural resources, we view our environmental impact as an important consideration in the development of our business strategy. As part of our commitment to wellbeing, our products are created using Advanced Crystal, a patented formula that enables our crystals to be lead free** while retaining superior brilliance.
We monitor and improve the social performance of our supply chain by adhering to the Swarovski Supplier Code of Conduct, ensuring our suppliers respect fundamental human rights through fair treatment of workers and reduce the environmental impact of their operations. Since 2016 Atelier Swarovski has been a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), an organisation established by the jewelry industry to advance responsible social and environmental practices. As a member, we align our business operations with the RJC Code of Practices and pledge to positively impact and influence our industry.
In addition, the Swarovski Crystal Business is a member of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), and its strategy aligns with the ten principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. Moreover, to strengthen our alignment with these principles, we strive to respect the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the International Labour Organization’s core conventions. To ensure transparency and to provide regular opportunities for review, Atelier Swarovski will continue, as part of the Swarovski Crystal Business, to report externally on corporate responsibility performance within the Swarovski Sustainability Report.
