”Powerful designs for powerful women.” The illustrious jewellery designer Rodrigo Otazu launched his label ‘Otazu’ in 1991 with luxurious costume jewellery before going on to work in theatre, film and with musicians. Through his talent, passion for life and all consuming sense of style, Otazu designs costumes and dresses for celebrities from Kylie Minogue to Lady Gaga, Lauryn Hill and Britney Spears. His work encompasses influences from architecture, music, travel, fashion and the arts resulting in a strong creative vision seen in his Atelier Swarovski collection for Autumn Winter 2011.

His inspirational designs celebrate innovative use of crystal; by flipping the crystals upside down he exposes a unique crystal cut that has never been used before. With necklaces that reference tribal jewellery shapes, to cuffs, earrings and pyramid pendants, Xillion cut crystal squares in tones of silver shade and golden shadow are aligned in cubes and linear formations to create a collectible range of contemporary accessories for Atelier Swarovski.
