Rodarte

Sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the young, Californian designers behind Rodarte, have translated their very particular brand of high-romantic grandeur and meticulous, detailed craftsmanship into vintage-inspired crystal beads for
ATELIER SWAROVSKI. Rodarte’s ethereal elegance can be seen in the large, clear crystal beads, with hexagonal facets, interspersed with gilt spheres, like pom poms, studded with crystal jewellery stones, finished with cubes of Aurora Borealis crystal, the Swarovski stone created originally in the 1950s for Christian Dior. On another strand, emerald beads are mixed with the same gilt and crystal elements and sliver-slim crystal-set rondelles, playing with the subtle contrasts of colour and light, sheen and sparkle that only crystal can deliver.
