Roksanda Ilincic’s demi-couture creations are a regular feature on the pages of Vogue, with catwalk presentations that are attended by the heavy-hitters active in the international fashion community. Ilincic partners with Atelier Swarovski for a collection infused with gothic glamour and charms—for her 2007 show, her signature bow was brought to life by obliquely sparkling black Swarovski crystals. The giant bows come in two sizes, one to be worn around the waist as a belt or as a dramatic headpiece, the other to decorate the wrist as a statement bracelet.
The Serbian born designer is trained as an architect, and her formative years studying architecture still have a huge influence on her fashion design and catwalk shows. Her lavish embellishments have earned her both high praise from fashion insiders and devotion from clients. In November 2014, Roksanda was named Business Woman of the Year at the Harper’s Bazaar UK Women of the Year Awards. At the 2013 British Elle Style Awards she won the award for Red Carpet Fashion and the year before she attained the Red Carpet award at the British Fashion Awards.
