PIPPA SMALL
London based jewellery designer Pippa Small has previously created pieces for Gucci, Chlöe, Dosa and Nicole Farhi. For her Spring/Summer 09 collection, she uses naturally occurring rock crystal in her designs. Rock crystal features natural structures, beautiful fissures and shiny milky areas. Her collection is made up of the Ko-I-Nor pendant, ring, and cuff created with Swarovski Enlightened elements.
“The inspiration for the collection is old Indian diamonds, cut to follow the natural shape of the stone and with the soft silvery grey light of the crystals reminds me of these pieces. The gentle glow from the stones reminds me of the caressing light from a tarnished antique Venetian mirror and reflections from candle light.”
