After several years working for top Paris fashion-houses, Danish designer, Jens Laugesen launched his own collection of strong, hard-edged design in September 2002. After last year’s debut collection for ATELIER SWAROVSKI, when he created a belt from Swarovski’s innovative second-skin Crystal Fabric, for Spring/Summer 08, he translates his signature fusion of conceptual shapes with luxurious fabrics, into a second belt, immaculately paved with triangular Swarovski sew-on crystal stones, in clear crystal, on either white or black satin, Swarovski jet crystal on black satin.
“For this season I love the fusion of hard edge glamour, retro futuristic Cardin inspired shapes and conceptual tailoring. Crystal is integrated so well this collection, adding a level of shimmer perfect for the season. Modern square faceted stones are used as all over ornamentation on large belts worn on casual dresses.”
