MAWI
Since her debut onto the fashion scene in 2003, Indian born, London based accessories designer Mawi won the ‘New Generation Award’ for three consecutive seasons with her eclectic and colourful style. Her Spring/Summer 09 ATELIER SWAROVSKI collaboration is inspired by African and tribal themes, infused with a dose of industrial luxe. She combines chunky architectural crystals and chandelier components with tassels and detailed crystal clasps. Spherical crystals are strung onto glossy, twisted ropes in jewel-like tribal colours and make up the Turkana, Kamba, Kisiii, Masai and Kelengin necklaces with the Meru and Luo bracelets to match.
