Universally acclaimed fashion designer Giles Deacon fuses fabrics, felts and crystals in his fourth ATELIER SWAROVSKI collection for Autumn/Winter 09. Luxuriously soft necklaces and bracelets in elaborate laser cut designs are embellished with crystals in settings and cupchains. With a sophisticated colour palette of dark and light grey, chocolate brown and creamy oatmeal, the pieces are decorated with crystal and tortoiseshell details, studs and pins to create an ingeniously wearable collection.
“We are working with 5mm felt this season, made into hand-stamped and hand-marked artworks with the Crystallized™ - Swarovski Elements applied onto them. There will be necklaces in fantastic shapes. The crystals come in a great palette from which I have selected colours that include golden shadow, light rose and peridot. There will be big explosions of crystal in this collection as well as delicate touches like the safety pins decorated with stones.”
