JENS LAUGESEN
After several years working on couture and ready to wear for top Paris fashion-houses, Danish designer, Jens Laugesen, launched his own collection of strong, hard-edged design in September 2002. This season’s sophisticated collection with neo-classical elements, almost exclusively in black with hints of beige, represented the designer’s signature fusion of conceptual shapes with luxurious fabrics. He worked ingeniously with Swarovski’s innovative second-skin black Crystal Fabric, glinting like caviar, as accents on tuxedo jackets and trousers, or bib-like motifs on cashmere. For Atelier Swarovski, Jens Laugesen has created a wide, waist-cinching jet crystal fabric belt, sensually minimalist, for the ultimate in low-key luxury.
